Purse "Vanya"

From leftover yarn, or any other material that hangs around your house and cluttering your valuable space, you can make a cute little purse.

Material: about 50gr (1 ball) of colourful feathery yarn (imitation of bird feathers), about 20gr of black cotton yarn, both kinds of yarn should be for knitting needles 3 - 4mm, and double knitting needles 8mm.

The front and back is worked in one piece holding 4 strands of feathery yarn together, in moss stitch on 24 sts:
row 1 - K1, P1
row 2 - P1, K1

The flap of the purse is worked in black yarn and stockinette stitch with 3 strands of yarn held together. Knit first 6 rows straight (without decreases), and from 7th row on decrease 2sts on each side until there are 2sts left on the needle. Then finish the 2sts together. Bind off.

Crochet the sides together in sc stitches. In the same stitch crochet the sides of the flap. To make the strap, use 9 strands of black yarn (the legth should be twice as long as the finished length). Secure one end and twist this bunch into a spiral. Then fold the spiral in half and let it twist itself up. Sew the strap to the bag. Sew one big pink button for fastening.
